After a lot of teases and speculation, it was finally revealed that Jake Paul is set to square off against former UFC star Tyron Woodley in a match for Showtime Boxing on August 29th. The two also agreed on an interesting stipulation involving tattoos.
Jake Paul takes his boxing career seriously as he goes to the gym 18 times a week to hone his craft. He also made a bold claim regarding his upcoming match against Tyron Woodley.
MMA journalist Ariel Helwani took to Instagram and asked if the MMA community was supporting Tyron Woodley in the boxing match. Jake Paul decided to comment on the post and claimed that he should be backed by the MMA community as Paul has done more for MMA than Tyron Woodley ever has.
“I’m doing more for MMA than Tyron ever has so maybe they should back me?!”
Paul has to contend with Tyron Woodley, who is definitely his toughest opponent to date. We will have to wait and see if Paul will be able to topple Woodley or not in the boxing match on August 29.
