DaBaby is also known to take things too far and is also a subject of controversy. During his performance at Rolling Loud in Miami, DaBaby caused quite a stir after making a controversial and homophobic statement. This led to fans being irate and bashing him on social media. All of this has led to him being cancelled by fans and events alike. On top of that, he was previously dropped from the upcoming Lollapalooza lineup.
To add to his woes, he was removed from the Governor’s Ball as well as more shows. DaBaby previously posted a half-hearted apology for his harmful and insensitive remarks as he took to Instagram, but then he would go on to delete the post. Due to this, he was subject to even more backlash from fans, who simply had no interest in forgiving him.
Lil Wayne is a rapper who is usually busy with his own work and is oblivious to whatever goes on around him. While speaking to August Brown of The Los Angeles Times, Lil Wayne addressed DaBaby’s controversial remarks and stated that incidents such as this are commonplace for celebrities and artists.
“You know how it does. The spotlight on artists and celebrities is absolutely crazy. You don’t even have to be a celebrity. Even normal people can feel like they’re wrong because their 200 followers said something. But that’s the power of social media today.”
The likes of 50 Cent and Nick Cannon also recently supported DaBaby and told fans to embrace the rapper. DaBaby is likely feeling remorseful after his homophobic comments at the Rolling Loud show in Miami. It seems Miley Cyrus certainly has her work cut out for her if she truly will try to help DaBaby get better.
