Celebrity boxing matches are now more popular than ever before, with notable matches such as Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather coming to mind. Rapper Aaron Carter and ex-NBA star Lamar Odom did just that back in June. The two squared off against each other on June 11 in an exhibition match at the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City, where Lamar Odom made short work of Aaron Carter after beating him in the first round.
After his loss, Aaron Carter stated that he fought like a lion despite getting knocked out by Lamar Odom. While speaking to TMZ Sports, Aaron Carter made it clear he has no interest in facing off against former MLB star Lenny Dykstra. Instead, he decided to call out rapper Soulja Boy for a boxing match.
Honestly, I would call out somebody, I would probably call out Soulja Boy, but I would rip him apart. Here’s the thing — he just won’t respond. Because a lot of these guys in the industry, that do the same thing I do, they almost like to pretend I don’t exist.”
And, that’s because my record sells, and my numbers, and my concerts, and 26 years of longevity scares them, it threatens them
We will have to wait and see if Soulja Boy will decide to accept Aaron Carter’s challenge for a boxing match. Soulja Boy is down to make history, and he proved that throughout his career. We’ll have to see if he’s down to take on Carter in this boxing match setting next.
