Everyone’s favorite serial killer doll Chucky is set to make his small screen debut with the series named Chucky. It has started production and is slated to release this Fall on Syfy.’ Not only is it inspired by the ‘Hannibal‘ series but it will also explore the origins of Charles Lee Ray.
The upcoming TV series is likely to be connected to the original films. The series is slated to be 10 episodes long and will return to the franchise’s roots. Fans of the original franchise are no doubt eagerly waiting for its release.
After a long time waiting, fans finally got a taste of what is to come in the upcoming series as Syfy officially released the first teaser trailer for the show recently. Images were also released that gave more insight into the upcoming television show. It was previously revealed that Chucky will be allowed to swear quite a lot during each episode of the show.
The official SYFY Twitter account took to Twitter and released a new teaser trailer and poster for the upcoming TV series, which hinted at a new twist on the franchise’s lore as the teaser trailer and poster both use some of the words from the voodoo chant that originally transferred the soul of serial killer Charles Lee Ray into the Good Guy Doll known as Chucky.
The series will start airing on Syfy on October 12 and we will have to see whether it lives up to expectations or not.
