Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson needs no introduction when it comes to the pro wrestling world as he is still regarded as one of the all-time greats. He is also a dominant force in Hollywood and brings huge star power to any film he acts in. The Rock is also a businessman and a very conniving one at that. John Cena also relates to The Rock.
On this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, Kevin Owens faced Baron Corbin on the condition that if Owens won the match, Corbin would stop begging for money. KO also promised to give Corbin $1k if he was able to beat him. Owens won the match via a roll-up pin but he also performed a sunset flip during the match as well.
Kevin Owens took to Twitter and reacted to his own move on Friday Night Smackdown. He stated that he did it for Flex Kavana, which was The Rock’s in-ring name before he started out in WWE.
The Rock saw Kevin Owens’ tweet and was quite happy with it. He fired back a tweet which said that very few are aware of how historic Owens’ well-placed sunset flip was.
Flex. Kavana. F*cking. Loves. It. Very few (if any) will know how historic your “well placed” Sunset Flip here means. Teremana on the way to you! (And for Baron too for being a fucking pro!:)
Kevin Owens continues to be a solid babyface that fans can get behind and his knowledge of the pro wrestling world certain has won him favors with even The Rock. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for The People’s Champion’s return to the ring, but at least he can still get in the action via social media.
