Anderson Silva is regarded as one of the all-time greats in the world of MMA who competed against several top names in the MMA world when he used to be active. Silva was released from the UFC last year in November after he lost to Uriah Hall in his final match. He hasn’t been quiet and is not finished in combat sports at all.
As reported earlier, a boxing match between Anderson Silva and fellow UFC legend Tito Ortiz is currently in the works. Now it seems Ortiz doesn’t have anything good to say about his opponent.
While speaking to TMZ Sports, Tito Ortiz talked about Anderson Silva and revealed that he lost all respect for him after Silva demanded the match take place under a 195 pound limit, which is 10 pounds less than the weight he last fought.
“He wants me down to 195. He’s fought at 205 over 6 times in his career and he wants me down to 195. So, it shows that he’s afraid of my power.
I lost respect for the guy man. He’s one of the best in the world in mixed martial arts, but I have no respect to him.”
Triller Fight Club is holding the boxing match as part of their upcoming September 11th event from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California that will be headlined by a main event match between Oscar De La Hoya and Vitor Belfort. We will have to wait and see who will end up the winner in the match.
