Tim Tebow retired from the NFL to pursue a career in pro baseball, but he never got to the majors. After his stint in Minor League baseball was over, he went back to football, but he didn’t want to return to his old position. The Jacksonville Jaguars hired Tebow as their new tight end, but that didn’t last long at all.
Tebow was panned by fans and analysts alike in epic fashion after his first outing with the Jags. It turns out that Tony Khan’s team saw this negative press and the results on the field that warranted that criticism.
The Jacksonville Jaguars decided to cut Tebow from their roster in rapid fashion. He’s not sore about things, because the former QB is grateful for the opportunity. Tebow sent out a couple of tweets to let fans know that he is moving on.
Thankful for the highs and even the lows, the opportunities, and the setbacks. I’ve never wanted to make decisions out of fear of failure and I’m grateful for the chance to have pursued a dream…
Thank you to the @Jaguars organization and everyone who has supported me in this journey.
And we know that…God works all things together for good. Romans 8:28
We’ll have to see if another team picks up Tim Tebow at this point, but his results in the tight end position were less than impressive. He’s still going to be just fine, after all, Tebow has a reported net worth of around $5 million. That’s not as much as some former QBs are able to accumulate, but it’s far more than most of us have in the bank.
