Jake Paul found himself in huge boxing matches and the hype he builds for each of his matches is impressive. The YouTuber turned boxer also possesses a face that many people would like to punch, including his own friends. Jake Paul also loves trash talking his opponents before his matches and it has been quite effective on each occasion. Paul also put up a “hit list” recently and Usman was on that list. That means nothing to Kamaru.
There are many fighters in the combat sports world who all want a piece of Jake Paul in a boxing match but it seems there are also those who have absolutely no interest in him.
While speaking during a recent Instagram Live Q&A session, Kamaru Usman was asked about possibly facing Jake Paul. Usman made it clear a match against Paul would do nothing for him.
“There’s a lot that needs to happen for something like that to happen. But for right now, that does nothing for me. I’m the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world. What does Jake Paul do for me? It does nothing – Just like everyone now, who makes noise and says oh, they can beat me and give them a chance, they will beat me; blah, blah, blah. Then I go in there and then I beat them, and what does that do? It does nothing for me. I’m proving what I know I can prove. I’ve proven what I can already do. So, it does nothing for me.”
Paul has to contend with Tyron Woodley, who is definitely his toughest opponent to date. We will have to wait and see if Paul will be able to topple Woodley or not in the boxing match on August 29.
