Update: Atari has shut down Soulja Boy’s claim that he owns the company.
Original: Soulja Boy is a rapper who likes to take credit, even for things which aren’t his own. As Soulja Boy now comes out with another wild claim that he owns Atari, the gaming company, he followed it up another even more wild claim.
Big Draco took to Instagram in order to announce that he is in the owner ship of the gaming giant. He rocked an Atari cap and sweatshirt while flexing his claim on Wednesday.
I’m now the owner of Atari. I own the video game Atari.
The rapper also stated that the devs at Atari were impressed with his own SouljaGame Consoles and SouljaGame Handhelds. He said that he’s selling his company to Atari, though those two don’t exactly add up.
We are about to sell the company for…$140 million. Atari reached out…I just signed two deals with Atari. I’m the owner. The first rapper to ever own a video game company.
While this exactly doesn’t sound right, but Big Draco has been on the road to being an entrepreneur since a long time. Soulja Boy show his profits being tripled in the COVID-19 pandemic with The Soap Shop. He’s also been getting pretty serious about boxing, so there’s definitely something to him.
You can’t hate on Soulja Boy’s hustle, because he made a ton of cash off those universally panned gaming consoles.
