Fans Rush The Field To Brawl With Soccer Players In Wild Scene

We have covered a few fan brawls at sporting events in recent memory. Now we have another to report, but the players got involved this time.

Fans rushed on the field to pick a fight with players during the Nice vs Marseille game on Sunday. This incident started after a fan threw a bottle at Dimitri Payet, and then he threw it back into the crowd.

This was a terrible case of chaotic group thinking as fans wanted a piece of the players during his heated match. Officials stepped in and separated them, but this was still quite a crazy scene.

The game was delayed for an hour, and then the match was cancelled. Players were able to get off the field without being injured.

Ligue de Football Professionnel announced on Monday that the two teams have now been summoned for a disciplinary hearing on Wednesday. We will have to see how this one turns out when an official ruling is handed down.
