Dave Batista publicly shot out an idea to do a buddy-cop movie with Aquaman star Jason Momoa. It seems like Momoa heard the calling, and now the project is underway. As the star is to receive huge payout from the streaming of Aquaman 2, it seems we know where all that money is headed now.
Jason Momoa appeared on the The Late Late Show with Jim Corden. He revealed that it was Batista’s idea to do the movie, and since they have worked together on Dune & See, the former Game of Thrones star got onboard.
He literally texted me four days ago, going, ‘We need to do a buddy cop film. We love each other. We are on See and Dune together.’ And I said, ‘Absolutely.’ And he said, ‘Let’s do it in Hawaii.’ And I said, ‘Let’s do it. I have an idea.’ So it’s off to the races now. We’re doing it.
James Corden, the host of the show, wondered about how easy it was for the two actors to agree upon doing a movie. Usually it would be a lot more difficult, but this is two of the industry’s very accomplished actors we’re talking about.
It sells itself, bro. Dave loves wearing Speedos. I love wearing board shorts. And both of us with our shirts off. He’ll be grumpy and I’ll be charming. Boom. It sells itself, bro. I have the hair. He doesn’t have hair. We cover all the demographics.
Jason Momoa & Batista are working together in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, which will set to release in theatres as well as be available on HBO Max. While Batista has recently lauded POTUS Joe Biden for doing the best he could with the pandemic, Momoa has been enjoying all things Game of Thrones.
