Khabib Nurmagomedov Calls UFC Ring Girls ‘The Most Useless People In Martial Arts’

Khabib Nurmagomedov will forever be regarded as one of the best UFC fighters to have competed in the MMA world. He ended his MMA career for good back in March and since then has been enjoying his life in retirement. Khabib also admitted he could never be on Mike Tyson’s level. It seems he has a very interesting opinion when it comes to ring girls in MMA.

There was a lot of speculation regarding him returning to the UFC as he was still undefeated, with many believing he would come back to make his record an impressive 30-0. However, Dana White had confirmed back in March that the Russian fighter has retired for good.

While speaking at a Moscow press conference, Khabib Nurmagomedov made it clear that his own promotion, Eagle Fighting Championship, won’t have any ring girls as he deems them as the most useless people in martial arts.

“Look, I don’t want to offend anyone: Ring girls are the most useless people in martial arts.What is their function? I have a question. You can show that it is the second round on the screen. realize that is a history (behind ring card girls). History knows many mistakes. We read history to avoid mistakes of the past in the future. If we look in the history, it says they are useless. That is my personal opinion. Dana White maybe likes it. Maybe you do, too. But my name is not Dana. My name is Khabib.

These (ring card girls) are passing by and showing people that it is the second round. But no one looks at the (round number). I feel uncomfortable with my father. I am not against it. Khabib had previously stated that he has no interest in continuing his career for money fights. Since his retirement, he has been focused on Eagle Fighting Championship. However, it is to be noted that Khabib does miss fighting in the UFC as well.
