Jake Paul’s notoriety needs no introductions as he’s a huge name in boxing right now and the hype he builds for each of his matches is remarkable. The YouTuber turned boxer also possesses a face that many people would like to punch, including his own friends. Jake Paul also loves trash-talking his opponents before his matches and it has been quite effective on each occasion. It seems he is irked with how Woodley has done nothing for their upcoming boxing match.
Jake Paul takes his boxing career seriously as he goes to the gym 18 times a week to hone his craft. He also made a bold claim regarding his upcoming match against Tyron Woodley.
While speaking on the Impaulsive podcast, Jake Paul was asked if he is worried Tyron Woodley isn’t as marketable a fighter compared to Ben Askren. Paul then blasted Woodley for not doing a single thing to promote the boxing match.
“Yeah, like, bro, I’ve carried all the promotion for this. He (Woodley) hasn’t done a single thing. He might be the worst person, the worst fighter to ever do social media ever. He just reposts everyone’s stories on his story. ‘Oh, someone mentioned me? Add the story. Add the story. Add the story’. Doesn’t even add text; just adds whatever story he was tagged in into his story. That’s not how you f**king do social media.
But Tyron, what I will say, has that built-in star power of being a bigger fighter than Ben already. And people know him as a striker and a knockout guy. And he was a five-time UFC champion. So, he automatically has a bigger presence. But Ben definitely did a better job with the sh**-talking and making people think that he was gonna win. But I’ve carried this promotion. I think people are gonna tune in regardless.”
Fans were not impressed after recent footage of Jake Paul training inside the gym surfaced, as many fans felt Paul simply lacked the discipline and skill to fight Tyron Woodley.
Tyron Woodley is certainly Jake Paul’s toughest opponent to date. We will have to wait and see if Paul will be able to topple Woodley or not in the boxing match on August 29.
