R. Kelly is in a bad way and things are only getting worse for him. Thing is, he has a very valuable song catalog, but its value is dwindling as he continues to be muted.

The R&B singer is facing even more charges for sexual abuse and other related crimes, and he is broke too. The problem for him is that he’s not allowed to sell his most valuable assets.

Earlier this month, R. Kelly’s lawyer Devereaux Cannick revealed that the I Believe I Can Fly singer’s funds are “depleted”. His music catalog used to bring in $1.7 million per year and he brought in a small percentage of that. He can’t find a buyer for that music, because he is still muted.

R. Kelly can’t even get someone to buy his songs on the cheap, well below market value prices isn’t getting any action. Not one single buyer is stepping up to place any offer on the table for R. Kelly’s music.

The Mute R. Kelly movement certainly seemed to work. Enough people pulled the plug on his music that they legit made it worthless to people who would normally invest in music.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
