UFC Not Pursuing Gable Steveson Nearly As Much As WWE

Gable Steveson has become a huge name in the world of sports thanks to his incredible performance at the Tokyo Olympics. WWE already made it clear they want to sign him and Steveson is responsible for starting a bidding war between WWE and the UFC. Gable previously revealed that he wants to become a UFC Champion as well. It seems that UFC isn’t trying that hard to sign Steveson.

It was also reported that Gable Steveson was in talks with Bellator but it is unlikely ever sign with the promotion. On top of that, Vince McMahon is going all out to sign Gable Steveson to a WWE contract. 

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the UFC isn’t trying nearly as hard as WWE to sign Gable Steveson to a contract. WWE considers getting Steveson a huge deal for a variety of reasons as well.

Gable Steveson met with Vince McMahon over the weekend in Las Vegas. He did not meet with Dana White, and UFC has not pursued him at nearly the level WWE has. He told Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour about the meeting he was expected to have with White.

Perhaps fans might not get to see him in the UFC as the promotion isn’t willing to go the extra lengths that WWE is taking. We will have to wait and see whether he will sign with WWE or UFC in the future.
