Hugh Jackman is has established himself as one of the best actors in all of Hollywood. Jackman made a name for himself by portraying the role of Wolverine in the X-Men movies. He also suffered a personal tragedy recently.
Hugh Jackman took to his social media and revealed that his father Christopher John Jackman passed away at the age of 84 on Australian Father’s Day, which made it worse for him.
“In the early hours of Father’s Day (AU), my Dad peacefully passed away. And whilst there is deep sadness, I’m filled with such gratitude and love. My Dad was, in a word, extraordinary. He devoted his life to his family, his work and his faith. I pray he’s now at peace with God.”
Hugh Jackman made his way back to Australia from New York in June. Hugh and his 2 brothers, Ian and Ralph, were raised by Christopher in Sydney.
This is due to the fact that his mother left for her home country of England when Jackman was only 8 years old. Since then his father raised him all on his own. It ultimately ended up affecting Jackman negatively.
“It was traumatic. I thought she was probably going to come back. And then it sort of dragged on and on.”
Hugh Jackman would reconcile with his mother many years later. We would like to offer our deepest condolences to Hugh Jackman and his family during this sad time.
