Drake is a veteran musician and that is exactly why younger rappers such as Kodak Black want him as a mentor. He also has a lot of interests outside of making music. Fans waited for a long time for his album ‘Certified Lover Boy’ to drop.
Finally, after months of anticipation, Drake dropped ‘Certified Lover Boy’ on September 3rd. It has taken over the Hip-Hop world as expected and ended up smashing Spotify streaming records as well.
While Drake’s diss track towards Kanye West became the biggest topic of discussion, there is one particular line in his album that basketball fans can’t stop going crazy about.
On “7am On Bridle Path,” the rapper name-dropped two-time MVP and reigning NBA champion Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks.
“Don’t move like a puto/Could at least keep it a buck like Antetokounmpo,”
Recently, ESPN shared a tweet from a fan on Instagram that read, “Drake working Antetokounmpo into a line is gonna be tricky but he’ll figure out something.” Drake decided to comment on the post revealed that the tweet was the exact reason why he included Giannis Antetokounmpo’s name in the first place.
“Only did it cause of this tweet.”
Drake’s ‘Certified Lover Boy’ album is projected to sell big numbers, but it still might fall short of Kanye West’s ‘Donda’ success from the looks of it.
