Drake’s Certified Lover Boy has been taking the world by storm. While Kanye West beat the rapper in the game of sales and charting atop the Billboard 200, Drake is still making strides.
There is one detail about Certified Lover Boy which is just now coming into full attention. Drake sampled one of the most famous NSYNC songs “Sailing” on the track ‘TSU’, and fans are losing their mind about it.
NSYNC singer Chris Kirkpatrick sat down with Variety. He revealed that when he was with bandmates Joey Fatone, JC Chasez, Lance Bass and Justin Timberlake while recording “Sailing” he didn’t think it’d ever blow up again. He also revealed how he felt when Eminem referred to him in his 2002 song ‘Without Me.’
It’s flattering when things like this happen and with us, it doesn’t happen that often. It’s neat that I can tell friends who don’t know I was ever in a band, ‘Hey, I’m in this new record. Check it out!’ It’s like when Eminem wrote a [lyric] about me and at first I was like, ‘Wait, I have beef?’ Then I thought, ‘I’m in an Eminem song. That’s amazing,’
Back in July, both NSYNC & Backstreet Boys members collaborated together for a fundraiser. It raised possibilities for a potential NSYNC & Backstreet Boys collaboration. Lance Bass stated that he had been away from Britney Spears only because of her conservatorship.
