Mike Tyson is certainly one of the most legendary boxers in the history of professional boxing. Tyson is known for his insane power and intimidating stature that has sown fear in the hearts of his opponents.
Mike Tyson is certainly no stranger to Evander Holyfield as well, as the two had one of the most storied rivalries in the history of professional boxing. The two faced off twice, with Holyfield winning on both occasions.
In their first boxing match on November 9, 1996, Evander Holyfield defeated Mike Tyson via an 11th round TKO for the win. In their second match, Tyson bit off a chunk of Holyfield’s ear and was disqualified for his antics.
For a long time, many fans continued to wonder whether the two will have a rubber match. While speaking to Fight Hype, Evander Holyfield explained the condition for the third match against Tyson. In the end, it will only happen if Tyson wants it.
“He have to want to do this. He have to want to do it. It’s not that I don’t want to do it, but he has to want to do it for something to work. Now, things have to work for both people.”
Evander Holyfield is set to square off against Vitor Belfort on September 11 for Triller Boxing. We will have to wait and see who will come out on top in the match.
