Anderson Silva is regarded as one of the all-time greats in the world of MMA who competed against several top names in the MMA world when he used to be active. Silva was released from the UFC last year in November after he lost to Uriah Hall in his final match. He hasn’t been quiet and is not finished in combat sports at all.
As reported earlier, a boxing match between Anderson Silva and fellow UFC legend Tito Ortiz was set to take place as they were scheduled to face off against each other in a boxing match at Triller on September 11.
Tito Ortiz previously stated that he lost respect for Anderson Silva due to an unreasonable demand. The two finally fought at Trill and it saw Anderson Silva knock out Tito Ortiz in the first round.
While speaking to Fight Hype after his shocking loss, Tito Ortiz admitted that Anderson Silva hit harder than Chuck Liddell ever did, adding that he was never clipped that bad. He also gave huge props to Silva for his performance.
“I never boxed before but it was an opportunity and I loved it, it’s fun, it’s exciting to even get to the point but I’ve never been clipped like that. Even (Chuck) Liddell didn’t clip me that bad. That was a good punch, he caught me with a clean punch.
“I think I was being too stupid standing in front of him like that and Anderson has been boxing for a long time and that’s why he’s that good. I’ll give him respect. I give my respect to the royalty. I trained as hard as I possibly could for it.
Anderson Silva continues to prove that he is still a master when it comes to combat sports and his dominant victory over Tito Ortiz simply proved that fact.
