American talk show host Wendy Williams is probably best known for never mincing her words. Williams has recently been in the news due to her health issues, which caused her to take a step back from promoting the thirteenth season of her show.
The official Instagram account of The Wendy Williams Show recently made a post confirming that Williams has been diagnosed with COVID. The statement on Instagram read as follows:
While continuing her health evaluations, Wendy has tested positive for a breakthrough case of COVID-19. To allow Wendy time to quarantine and fully recover and to ensure that our production fully abides by SAG/AFTRA and DGA Covid protocols, we expect to begin the 13th season of The Wendy Williams Show on Monday, October 4th. In the meantime, repeats will be scheduled.
This is not the first time that Williams has had to take a break from work due to health concerns. She has been battling Graves disease for over two decades now, and even passed out on live television in 2017 due to dehydration.
Hopefully, the delay in the 13th season will allow Williams enough time to make a full recovery. Her show is expected to delay for a couple of month, after which Williams will be back in her old groove.
