Ashanti Shuts Down Speculation That She’s Getting Back With Nelly

Ashanti is certainly one of the most established female singers in the music industry right now. She also has a very dedicated and passionate fan following who keep track of everything she is doing. 

After the conclusion of the latest Verzuz battle between Fat Joe and Ja Rule, many fans believed that Ashanti and Nelly rekindled their relationship after they appeared during the event and Nelly hugged Ashanti.

After Nelly broke up with Shantel Jackson, many fans speculated that Nelly will reconcile with Ashanti. However, that is not the case as Ashanti joined Fat Joe, Ra Rule and Remy Ma on a live stream.

While speaking during the livestream, Ashanti revealed that she is already in a relationship and shut down all speculation regarding her getting back together with Nelly.

“Listen, there’s nothing happening. Now look, this is the crazy part. I had no idea he was gonna be there and I haven’t seen him or spoken to him since we broke up. Six years or something? So, I didn’t know what to expect. I seen him move you out the way.

Listen, I wasn’t expecting it. And that’s the crazy thing! I seen his eyes get big and I didn’t know what was gonna happen. I didn’t know what to expect. It was positive. You know, Nelly’s single now.” The singer quickly retorted, “Yeah, but I ain’t! So…”

While it is not known just who exactly Ashanti is in a relationship with, the fact remains that she will never get back together with Nelly after their breakup in 2014 and that is something fans simply have to accept.
