Brock Lesnar was absent from WWE television after dropping the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36. That changed at WWE SummerSlam, where he made his shocking return to WWE television and confronted Roman Reigns. He officially came back as a babyface, much to the delight of fans.
Brock Lesnar is also one of the most legitimate athletes in the pro wrestling world as he had massive success in the UFC, where he even won the UFC Heavyweight Championship.
However, Brock Lesnar hasn’t competed inside the octagon since 2016. Many fans wondered if Lesnar will ever return to the world of MMA.
While speaking with Josh Martinez of Z100, Paul Heyman stated that Brock Lesnar is done with MMA and has nothing left to prove there.
Been there, done that.If you were to tell me that Brock Lesnar would have a shoot-out in soccer with Messi, that I believe. But he has already done the MMA schtick.
He knocked out Randy Couture, took a beating from Shane Carwin. He’s a conqueror. What more can he do in the UFC that he hasn’t done? When Brock Lesnar went out for the Minnesota Vikings in 2004, he was 295 pounds, just suffered a motorcycle accident, and he had a torn groin, broken pelvis, a wired-shut jaw, and he still ran his 100-yard dash in Olympic qualifying time.
He has nothing left to prove in MMA. He can make a lot more money in the WWE.”
Brock Lesnar confronted Roman Reigns for a WWE Universal Title match and got his wish. It is likely the match will take place in October for WWE’s Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia.
