The world of MMA is an incredibly physically demanding sport that can also lead to terrible injuries from time to time, with each competitor likely to get battered and bruised during each fight.
Devin Clark squared off against Ion Cutelaba at UFC Fight Night 192. Despite his best efforts, Clark suffered a unanimous decision loss to Cutelaba in Saturday’s light heavyweight co-main event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
He was on the ropes during the first two rounds but somewhat fired back in the third. Clark almost didn’t come out for the third round as Clark told his corner he was having an issue with his teeth.
After discussions, it was decided that he would go out and compete in the third round. After the conclusion of the fight, the real extent of the damage he sustained was revealed.
As revealed by photos taken by photographers, the insides of Clark’s face were a mangled and bloody mess, which is certainly not something he wanted. His loss was an insult to literal injury.
