Daniel Craig made a name for himself for portraying the role of James Bond in the long-running franchise featuring the world’s most famous spy. Craig began his Bond journey with Casino Royale and will end it with No Time To Die this year.
It seems Daniel Craig believes James Bond should never be played by women. While speaking with Radio Times, Daniel Craig was asked if he believes an actress should portray the role of James Bond.
Daniel Craig explained that he believes women and actors of color should receive their own roles which should at least be equal to, if not better than the James Bond character.
“The answer to that is very simple. There should simply be better parts for women and actors of color. Why should a woman play James Bond when there should be a part just as good as James Bond, but for a woman?”
No Time to Die will be releasing on October 8th and will feature several female actresses in significant roles. It remains to be seen how the film will be received by fans and critics alike when it releases next month.
