Rapper P Diddy recently made headlines when he appeared on Fat Joe’s Instagram livestream to diss Jermaine Dupri. Diddy claimed that Dupri was not worthy of a Verzuz battle, and then proceeded to roast Dupri’s entire catalog.
Dupri has now clapped back at Diddy. In an interview with V-103 in Atlanta, Dupri claimed to have one thing that Diddy cannot buy. He then flexed about being a Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee.
Dupri claims that being an inductee gives him enough cred for Diddy to consider him a match.
Let me say this to y’all, everybody, be clear. I just want to make sure everybody understands this. I am in the Songwriters Hall of Fame. I am in the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Puff Daddy’s not in the Songwriters Hall Of Fame. Steve Stoute and the Trackmasters are not in the Hall of Fame.
Dupri was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2018, and was the second hip-hop artist ever to be awarded the honour. Diddy has not responded to Dupri yet.
