Conor McGregor fractured his ankle at the end of the first round of his UFC 264 fight against Dustin Poirier. Since then McGregor has been on a path of destruction that resulted in McGregor saying a lot of controversial remarks
The Notorious One went under the knife in a 3.5-hour-long surgery for his fractured tibia. McGregor already previously revealed that he is no longer wearing a cast on his leg and also started putting in work at the gym.
On top of that, Conor McGregor recently revealed that he can finally walk again without the need for crutches, just a couple of months after his injury.
While speaking to The Independent, UFC President Dana White stated that Conor McGregor needs to learn how to take kicks before making his return to the world of MMA.
“This kid needs to heal up. I don’t know how fast that leg is going to recovery. It’s basically going to be all about when can he start kicking again and, more importantly, when can he start taking kicks again. That will determine when he fights again.”
We will have to wait and see what shape Conor McGregor will be in once he returns to the Octagon as McGregor is expected to be out of action for a year as he is set on returning as soon as possible.
