Rihanna Says Her Next Album Is Very Experimental

Fans of Rihanna have been waiting for a new album from the artist for about five years now. The singer released her eighth studio album “ANTI” back in 2016, and seems to be in no rush to release more music.

However, Rihanna has also clarified that fans are in for a surprise when the album does arrive. In an interview with Associated Press, the singer stated that she has been going in an experimental direction with her music.

When asked for an update about her upcoming album, the singer said that she is going to subvert expectations, and that “whatever [fans] know of Rihanna is not what [they’re] going to hear.”

Music is like fashion: you should be able to play. I should be able to wear whatever I want and I treat music the same way. So I’m having fun and it’s going to be completely different.

Rihanna’s fans have been practically begging her to release the upcoming album, tentatively titled R9. However, the star has been focusing more on her Fenty Beauty line and her relationship with fellow artist A$AP Rocky.
