Hollywood is all about rebooting franchises, but the pandemic caused a huge issue with release dates. Clifford the Big Red Dog was supposed to come out last November, but it will be delayed almost an entire year.
According to new press released by Paramount Pictures, Clifford the Big Red Dog will finally see its theatrical release on November 5th, 2021. The original release date was November 13th, 2020.
This film was delayed due to the pandemic, but fans will soon have an opportunity to see what all of the hype is about. Some were not thrilled about a CGI realistic Clifford, and they’ve had over a year to complain about it.
Clifford the Big Red Dog will also release on Paramount Plus. We will have to see if that affects the box office as many films saw a huge drop-off in box office revenue due to releases on streaming services.
Based on the children’s novel of the same name by author Norman Bridwell, the film will follow a girl named Emily Elizabeth, played by Darby Camp. Emily Elizabeth adopts a small red puppy and that dog gets very big.
