Elon Musk, the billionaire genius behind Tesla, and singer/supermodel girlfriend Grimes were an unlikely pair, but they made it work. After three years together, the couple is going their separate ways.
Musk and Grimes split up according to Page Six. The SpaceX founder confirmed that he and Grimes are “semi separated,” but they are on good terms while co-parenting their 1-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii Musk.
“We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms.”
“It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas and her work is primarily in LA. She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room.”
The couple started dating in 2018 and they welcomed their son into the world last year. They were last spotted together at the Met Gala eariler this month. Grimes, 33, walked the red carpet alone at the event and Musk, 50, met her inside. They seemed happy enough at the Met Gala, but the fact that they arrived together was interesting. Obviously, there was trouble in paradise.
