John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and carried the company on his back throughout the PG era. From 2017 John Cena became a part-timer in WWE and has appeared sporadically due to his busy schedule in Hollywood.
Upcoming political thriller The Independent has added some huge names for the film. According to Deadline, John Cena and Kathy Bates (Misery, American Horror Story) have joined the upcoming film.
The film is set to star Brian Cox (Succession) and Jodie Turner-Smith (Queen & Slim). It will be taking place during “the final weeks of the most consequential presidential election in history,” John Cena will be portraying the role of Nate Sterling, the independent presidential candidate. which is a lead role.

John Cena has certainly kept himself busy this year with a slew of releases such as F9: The Fast Saga, The Suicide Squad and Hulu’s most-ever viewed original film Vacation Friends. He is also set to star in the Peacemaker spinoff series next year. All in all, it is certainly a great time to be John Cena from the looks of it.
