Rudy Giuliani is a former Mayor of New York and a huge Donald Trump loyalist, as he went on to become a controversial figure in US politics. It seems he has recently suffered a huge setback.
According to Politico, Rudy Giuliani has now been banned by Fox News for three months. It was aid that Giuliani was going to appear on Fox’s 20th-anniversary coverage, but host Pete Hegseth called him the night before to tell him he was removed.
It was stated that the ban comes “from the top,” and even extends to Giuliani’s son Andrew, who is currently running for governor of New York. Fox News declined to comment if Rudy Giuliani was banned from appearing on the network.
The likely reason for the ban could be the fact that Giuliani caused legal issues for Fox News. This happened last year when he was working as Trump’s lawyer to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Giuliani pushed debunked claims about Dominion Voting Systems, accusing the company of being part of a broader effort to rig the election in Joe Biden’s favor. Trump’s legal team pushed claims that Dominion had ties to liberal mega-donors, as well as to communists in Venezuela. Dominion sued Giuliani and also filed a $1.6 billion lawsuit against Fox News for defamation. We will keep you updated on this ongoing story.
