Tiger King entertained millions through the early part of the pandemic. That series also made celebrities out of an unlike crew of characters. Carole Baskin reached instant fame, but that doesn’t doesn’t mean she is game to come back for another dose.
Carole Baskin did not hold her opinion in when talking to Variety about the second season of Tiger King. She assumed it would take them longer to put the second season together, but she told the director to lose her number because she wasn’t about reprising her role on that “dumpster fire” of a Netflix series.
“I know some people who have been involved in it and they were doing more filming, so I assumed at some point they would come out with a ‘Tiger King 2.’ It took them five years to put together the first one, so I thought it would be a lot longer. The directors tried to clear the air, but I told them to lose my number because that was not at all what we had agreed we were working on. I wouldn’t call Eric Goode or Rebecca Chaiklin true documentarians. I mean that was just a reality show dumpster fire.”
Baskin will not be a part of Tiger King season 2, but they might still have access to unaired interview segments with her. We’ll have to see how things turn out in this situation, because Tiger King 2 will likely draw a lot of interest from fans who want more of that unique story.
