Jon Jones is considered one of the best fighters in the history of the UFC for many fans. For the past few months, Jones had made it his life’s mission to go after Francis Ngannou’s UFC Heavyweight Championship. Jones has also been on a mission to get paid.
Bones Jones had been working very hard to make it to the Heavyweight division in the UFC. The journey has certainly been a very difficult one for him.
Jones had revealed in the past that he felt undervalued and simply wanted to be paid better. Unfortunately for Jones, it was previously stated that he will not be facing Ngannou anytime soon.
Jon Jones was also recently arrested on domestic violence charges as the whole MMA world reacted to his shocking arrest. However, it seems UFC President Dana White wasn’t all that shocked at Jon Jones’ arrest.
While speaking to reporters on Friday after the UFC 266 ceremonial weigh-ins, Dana White stated that it’s difficult to bring Jon Jones to Las Vegas and added that he isn’t all that surprised that Jones got arrested.
“It’s hard to bring this guy to Las Vegas for any reason. This city is not good for Jon Jones. And here we are again. It’s like it’s not even shocking anymore. When we bring him here, it’s almost expected. Can’t even get him into Las Vegas for less than 12 hours to induct him into the Hall of Fame. It’s a problem. This guy’s got a lot of demons, man – a lot of demons.
Is it really shocking anymore? It’s really not. It’s become not shocking. It’s almost become, ‘Uh oh, he’s in Vegas again. What’s going to happen today?’ You want to hope the guy is better, and that won’t be the case, but he proves every time he comes to this town that he can’t handle this place.”
Jones was in Las Vegas this week because of his 2013 fight against Alexander Gustafsson and he is being inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. We will keep you updated on Jon Jones’ condition.
