Oscar De La Hoya was set to make his return to the boxing world in a match against Vitor Belfort on September 11th. Dana White in particular wanted La Hoya to lose badly.
His boxing match against Vitor Belfort was likely one of many matches as Oscar De La Hoya was determined to make a proper comeback. Unfortunately, that match no longer happened after La Hoya revealed he tested positive for COVID-19 and had to be hospitalized.
Earlier this year, UFC President White prevented UFC legend Georges St-Pierre from fighting boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya at Triller Club. Oscar De La Hoya was certainly furious at the announcement and so were many other people. It came to such a point that Oscar De La Hoya even challenged UFC president Dana White to a fight.
Dana White dismissed his challenge and called Oscar De La Hoya a crackhead and this prompted a response from La Hoya who lashed out at him. La Hoya took to Twitter and congratulated Alexander Volkanovski after his successful title defense at UFC 266, claiming that he doesn’t get paid his worth.
Dana White saw La Hoya’s tweet and decide to reply to him as he told him to shut up and stated that Oscar De La Hoya should win an academy award for his performance at the hospital.
STFU U crack head. Faking that u had Covid and robbing me of watching u get KTFO by @vitorbelfort you should win an academy award for your hospital performance.
It is highly unlikely the beef between Dana White and Oscar De La Hoya will end anytime soon and many fans are certainly fine with that.
