American rapper Ice-T is undeniably a legend in the world of hip-hop. He has even been inducted into the Hall of Fame. So, it came as a surprise to fans when the rapper was trending on Twitter for the wrong reasons.
The Tweet by user Zerostar614 got fans of Ice-T discussing his greatest hits. The rapper himself was not aware that he was trending, or the reasons for it.
However, he acknowledged the support he has been getting from fans, saying “if you’ve played the game right, your fans will always hold you down when some clown ass tries to diss on the low.”
Ice-T himself had a fitting reply to the tweet questioning his credentials. The rapper shared a clip of fellow hip-hop legend Dr Dre talking about Ice-T’s accomplishments.
Hip Hop on the West Coast started in 1982, 83, something like that. I guess gangsta rap started the same time ’cause those was the first records that really made it out here. Ice-T had a big influence on people out here because he actually started it to me — Ice-T and Schoolly D, actually.
Ice-T addressed that some people do not give him the credit that he deserves. However, that does not matter to him when he’s got Dr Dre himself on his side.
