Earlier this year, UFC President White prevented UFC legend Georges St-Pierre from fighting boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya at Triller Club. Oscar De La Hoya was certainly furious at the announcement and so were many other people. It came to such a point that Oscar De La Hoya even challenged UFC president Dana White to a fight.
Dana White dismissed his challenge and called Oscar De La Hoya a crackhead and this prompted a response from La Hoya who lashed out at him. La Hoya recently claimed that Alexander Volkanovski doesn’t get enough pay in the UFC.
This led to Dana White blasting La Hoya and stating that the boxing legend should win an academy award for his performance at the hospital. Now it seems White decided to attack La Hoya once again.
While speaking to the media after Dana White’s Contender Series 41, Dana White tried to highlight Oscar De La Hoya’s hypocrisy in the way La Hoya’s own promotion Golden Boy Promotions pays their competitors.
“I hate him so much that I’d love to prove that he’s a lying, hypocritical, two-faced piece of s**t. He did his first MMA event. So all the former UFC fighters on his card, made more for their last bout than they did for his event. Most of them made more in multiple or all of their UFC fights. 17 of the 22 fighters got less than the starting compensation in the UFC.”
White then claimed that Alexander Volkanovski made more money than the entire Golden Boy card combined to walk out to the octagon sporting his Venum kit. It is highly unlikely the beef between Dana White and Oscar De La Hoya will end anytime soon and many fans are certainly fine with that.
