R. Kelly became a controversial name in the world of Hip-Hop for a reason. He is sitting in prison on a separate federal indictment that includes child pornography, sexual exploitation of children and conspiracy to defraud the U.S. Government. He has been labelled as a predator and even tried to have herpes-related charges dropped against him.

As reported earlier, R. Kelly was found guilty on all counts in his federal trial. The disgraced rapper hasn’t yet been sentenced for those 9 counts of sex crimes. Even his victims spoke out in relief after the guilty verdict.

According to TMZ, R. Kelly’s ‘key to the city’ honor in Baton Rogue is now rescinded. Kelly was given the honor back in February 2013 by Denise Marcelle, who was a member of Baton Rouge Metro Council.

Marcelle stated that she regretted giving Kelly a key to the city in the first place and will be rescinding it. The plaque will remain with the disgraced rapper but he will be stripped of the honor.

R. Kelly also released a statement after his conviction. R. Kelly is likely to be behind bars for a very long time and we wonder if he will be given a maximum life sentence in the end.
