Former XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck was fired by XFL and due to this, Luck filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon for wrongful termination back in April of last year.
As reported earlier, Vince McMahon filed a counter lawsuit against the former XFL Commissioner.
The lawsuit stated that ”Luck defied his orders when it came to hiring league personnel and said the former commissioner essentially abandoned his duties when the COVID-19 pandemic forced the league to suspend play in mid-March, five weeks into its first season.”
According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the case between Oliver Luck and Vince McMahon is far from over. Luck claimed Vince McMahon owes him $23.8 million for wrongful termination.
He was under a guaranteed contract through 2023 even if XFL folded. After XFL went bankrupt, Vince McMahon didn’t pay up. Luck claimed he was owed $96, 153.80 every week through his contract and $2 million extra on every June 30th.
U. S. District Judge Victor Bolden of Connecticut set a deadline of February 4, 2022 for evidence and informed both sides to be ready to go to court on 7th March, 2022. We will keep you updated on this ongoing case.
