Celebrity boxing matches are now more popular than ever before, with notable matches such as Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather coming to mind. Rapper Aaron Carter and ex-NBA star Lamar Odom did just that earlier this year as well.
After his win over Aaron Carter, fans were wondering whether Lamar Odom will box again. Odom was set to square off against former heavyweight champ Riddick Bowe on October 2nd.
However, due to Evander Holyfield’s performance in his boxing match against Vitor Belfort, everyone from Celebrity Boxing to the Florida state athletic commission thought it best to remove Riddick Bowe from the match. Instead, he is now set to square off against Lopez’s ex-husband Ojani Noa.
While speaking to TMZ Sports, Lamar Odom revealed that he is now a partial owner of Celebrity Boxing.
“I’m a part-owner in Celebrity Boxing, so if I gotta keep fighting to keep building the brand, I don’t see no problem with that, being a businessman.”
Odom and Ojani will be duking it out at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida on October 2nd as part of the Celebrity Boxing card. We will have to wait and see how will come out on top.
