Donald Trump was kicked off Twitter, and he doesn’t understand why. He only encouraged an insurrection, and Twitter didn’t appreciate that. Now he is trying to get a court to order Twitter, a private company, to let him back on their platform.

The former POTUS was banned from the platform on January 8th and he hasn’t stopped trying to get back on. He lost his privileges and regained them for a short time, but then they kicked him off for good.

Now “Plaintiff Donald Trump” has filed an order with the courts that will command Twitter to allow him the opportunity to spread his message once again. The Washington Post reports:

“Plaintiff Donald J. Trump respectfully moves for a preliminary injunction directing, inter alia, Defendant Twitter, Inc. and all persons acting in concert with Defendant, to reinstate Plaintiff’s access to Defendant’s social media platform(s).”

The filing claims that Twitter was “censoring” Trump’s free speech and that it “exercises a degree of power and control over political discourse in this country that is immeasurable, historically unprecedented, and profoundly dangerous to open democratic debate.”

Trump’s camp didn’t pick up the phone when asked to comment on this story. We’ll keep an eye on Twitter to see if Trump is allowed back on once again.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
