Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is one of the all-time greats in the world of professional basketball. James suffered a very nasty injury to his right ankle in the Lakers’ game against the Atlanta Hawks back in March and despite making a return, James simply hasn’t been the same since the injury.
Despite all this, King James remains one of the richest NBA players of all time and for good reason and there are not many who can argue against his contributions to the sport.
LeBron James is also no stranger to breaking records as his name value has helped him tremendously in his own business ventures and other projects.
Ahead of his fourth season with the Lakers, James revealed that he would be replacing No. 23 on his jersey in favor of No. 6. While speaking to reporters, LeBron James explained the significance behind his new jersey number.
“Six has a lot of meaning to me, not only from my family and numbers and things of that nature to what I believe in and things of that sort — but my mentality doesn’t change. Going out, being an overall basketball player, trying to dominate at all facets of the game, being a great teammate and being a great leader.”
LeBron James is more than determined to get back into form after his disappointing performance during the last season. It remains to be seen how good James will be and whether the change in jersey number will help him or not.
