SNL cast member, actor and stand-up talent Pete Davidson is one of the most popular celebrities in Hollywood right now and he is known to not mince words when it comes to expressing his opinion regarding something.
There is absolutely no doubt that Pete Davidson is one of the most integral members of the long-running show. Davidson is also arguably the most successful performer outside of Saturday Night Live and earlier this year, he hinted at a departure from the show.
Davidson wasn’t sure if he would even be back on the show. However, Season 47 of the show started with eight cast members who had been on the show for at least seven seasons, which is the standard length of an SNL contract.
As reported earlier, Beck Bennett left the show before the latest season and due to this, some familiar faces made their return to the show and this included Pete Davidson.
While speaking at the end of his Weekend Update segment, Pete Davidson stated that he couldn’t believe he was back on the show. He talked about his Met Gala outfit while wearing a T-shirt paying tribute to former SNL cast member Norm Macdonald who died of cancer last month.
“I can’t believe I’m back. I’m very grateful to be here, and it has been an honor to grow up in front of you guys.”
We will have to wait and see how season 47 of the show will fare now that Pete Davidson is back on the show.
