Emily Ratajkowski is promoting her new book of essays, titled “My Body.” In this book, the model has made some startling revelations, including one about Robin Thicke.
Ratajkowski has addressed the allegation that Robin Thicke groped her breast on the set of his “Blurred Lines” music video. The model has now revealed the reasons why she didn’t vocalise her accusations back then.
At the CoinGeek Conference cocktail party on Monday, Ratajkowski explained that at the time she was not the well-known person she is today. She wanted to be famous, and speaking out would have hurt her chances of becoming successful.
I was an unknown model, and if I had spoken out or complained, I would not be where I am today; I would not be famous.
However, Ratajkowski states that she has changed and evolved a lot over the years, and this has prompted her decision to write about the experience in her book. She also expressed hope that her fans would understand her decision.
I wrote a book about the evolution of my politics, and that includes a lot of different experiences from my career and my life, and the way that I felt and thought about those experiences [has] evolved. I hope people are able to read the essay and understand the nuance behind these kinds of situations.
In an excerpt from her book, the model describes the chilling incident that turned a fun experience into a nightmare. Robin Thicke has not yet responded to Ratajkowski’s allegations.
