The Spice Girls remain one of the most iconic and instantly recognizable girl bands in the entire music industry. Now it seems the group has a big tour planned soon.
Emma Bunton, Mel B, Geri Horner and Mel C signed the deal with Universal Music Group’s Bravado division, announcing a worldwide partnership for touring, merchandise and campaigns with the company.
It is also the first time in two decades that the licensing rights for the Spice Girls brand – including touring – has been assigned to one firm, and the mega-deal promised big things for excited fans across the world.
The partnership will also celebrate the 25th anniversary of the girl group’s debut album Spice, which was released back in September 1996. The band is also excited about the partnership.
“We are so excited to be working with Bravado again, especially in this our 25th anniversary year and are looking forward to collaborating with the team.”
Later in October, the Spice Girls will release a special 25th-anniversary edition of their debut album, which features previously unreleased songs, demos and mixes. One thing is for certain and that’s that it’s a great time to be a fan of the Spice Girls.
