“Black Panther” actress Letitia Wright made a name for herself as Shuri in the film and is also set to reprise her role in the upcoming sequel “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”
Letitia Wright is also a controversial figure due to her stance on COVID-19 vaccines, as she is an anti-vaxxer. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Letitia Wright pushed anti-vaccination views on the set of “Black Panther 2” despite the current COVID-19 pandemic situation.
Wright’s comments during the filming were in addition to anti-vax postings she made last year on social media, which led to her staff quitting on her.
“[Wright] quietly parted ways with her entire U.S. team of representatives in the wake of a backlash over posting a controversial anti-vaccine video in December.”
She previously faced backlash for her anti-vaxxer views and at this point in time that is unlikely to change as getting a vaccine is certainly very important in this day and age.
