Urban Meyer led his Jacksonville Jaguars to a 0-4 start. The fact that he was recorded letting a younger woman dance up on him at a bar didn’t give him the best public perception. His wife came to his defense, but Meyer’s own team might have already checked out on him.

CBS Sports reports that Urban Meyer is “not coming back” from that controversy. In fact, it’s hard to take him seriously on his own team. His players have apparently lost confidence in him as well. At this point “guys are laughing at him” and they think he “quit on them.” Not a good look at all.

“He’s not coming back from this. There wasn’t much confidence in him in that locker room before this went down. Now? It’s over. Guys are laughing at him. He’s lost any respect he may have had. They think he quit on them.”

The agent for another key Jaguars player reportedly added: “He is a laughingstock in that locker room right now. (My client) said he’s a con man. They think he’s a fraud. How do you not fly home with your team?”

We will have to see what the Jacksonville Jaguars do as the season progresses. Tony Khan might have to divert his attention away from AEW to the Jaguars for a bit and rectify this coaching issue if things continue down this road.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
