Actor and musician, Jared Leto got caught in an anti-vaccination protest while he was in Rome, Italy, he announced on Instagram.
He took to the social media platform to alert his fans and followers about what occurred and he apparently took a lot of pictures to boot. It all occurred on Saturday night.
“Got caught in a protest in Italy…From what I gather it was about vaccine mandates / green pass. Got tear gassed then called it a night.”
Italy will be the first European country to pass a mandate requiring all workers to carry proof of vaccination. The pass is being called a Covid-19 Green Pass quite appropriately. This decision was the source of the upheaval by many, however.
The demonstration occurred at Prime Minister Mario Draghi’s office. There is no news as to what Leto was doing at the location. According to Reuters, the police that responded used water cannons and obviously tear gas to fend off the crowd.
The actor of Panic Room, The Little Things and recently Morbius, has not exactly stated publicly whether he is against vaccinations for the Covid-19 virus or for them.
He has been a proponent for the wearing of masks during the pandemic, however. The singer/songwriter of the rock band 30 Seconds to Mars has been pictured often during the pandemic wearing a mask.
