Jon Gruden has reportedly resigned from the Las Vegas Raiders. This comes after leaked emails emerged where he used awful racially charged language.
A couple of weeks ago, Gruden brought his team to 3-0, but his 10-year $100 million contract didn’t last long for him. Now Gruden is done with the Raiders.
Jon Gruden sent racist, anti-gay and misogynistic messages in email correspondences. The New York Times first reported on Monday that Gruden sent those emails.
NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero reports that, “Jon Gruden just informed his staff that he plans to resign as Raiders coach.”
An investigation into the misogynist culture of the Washington Football Team uncovered those emails from Gruden. He said that NFLPA head DeMaurice Smith: “Dumboriss Smith has lips the size of michellin [sic] tires.”
Gruden claimed that wasn’t a racist comment, but then it was uncovered that more emails were sent. Some of those included anti-gay slurs, such as referring to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell as a “f*ggot” and a “clueless anti football p*ssy.”
