Demi Lovato wants to find out the truth about extraterrestrial life. Having experienced a close encounter herself, she’s become a bit of a professional. She’s even hosted her own investigative series on the matter, Unidentified with Demi Lovato on the Peacock streaming platform.
The singer, songwriter, and actor took to Pedestrian TV to talk about their new series and her passion for the unknown. While there, Demi made some interesting comments regarding interplanetary social justice.
Lovato told Pedestrian, “I think that we have to stop calling them aliens because aliens is a derogatory term for anything. That’s why I like to call them ETs!”
While it’s admirable to simply want to know the truth about whether we’re alone in the universe, Demi has really got us thinking. Would an ET life form really be offended by being called an ‘alien’?
Lovato said that the main theme of the show is the precious nature of our planet. She wants to give viewers of her new show, “an understanding of how much we need to take care of our planet and how much we need to learn how to expand our consciousness.”
In Demi’s mind, we shouldn’t offend the ET’s, because they might get mad and do something horrible. No reason to tempt fate, right?
